Privacy Policy

The short version: Check-ins, notes, and medication logs stay on your device. Information leaves your device only when you choose to submit a form or use AI Support.

What data we collect

Ogenta stores app data — including your name, medication information, mood check-ins, side effect logs, notes, and sleep data — locally on your own device using your browser's built-in storage (localStorage). This tracker data is not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to submit a form or use AI Support.

What we do not collect

Early access sign-ups

If you choose to submit your email address through our early access form, we collect only your email address. We use this solely to notify you of product updates. We will never sell this information or use it for advertising purposes. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

AI Support chat

The AI Support feature in Ogenta uses the Anthropic API to generate responses. Messages you send in the chat are transmitted to Anthropic's servers to generate a response and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. We recommend not including highly sensitive personal information in AI chat messages. Chat history is stored locally on your device only and is not retained by Ogenta.

Cookies and tracking

Ogenta does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and browser information for security and performance purposes. This is standard practice for all web hosting and is not used for advertising.

Data deletion

Since your health data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. In your browser, go to Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → and select "Cached images and files" and "Site data." This will permanently delete all Ogenta data from your device.

Children's privacy

Ogenta is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Ogenta after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

Important: Ogenta is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional psychiatric care.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Ogenta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of service

Ogenta is a personal wellness tracking application designed to help individuals log their mood, medication adherence, side effects, and other personal observations during the process of starting a new psychiatric medication. It is a companion tool only — not a medical device, clinical service, or diagnostic tool.

Not medical advice

The content, features, and information provided by Ogenta — including AI-generated responses, wellness videos, breathing exercises, and any other content — are for informational and personal wellness purposes only. Nothing in Ogenta constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or medication. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or experienced in Ogenta.

Crisis and emergency situations

Ogenta is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, suicidal thoughts, or are in danger, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on Ogenta or its AI chat feature in a crisis situation.

User responsibilities

AI-generated content

The AI Support feature uses large language model technology to generate responses. These responses are not reviewed by medical professionals and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Do not make medical decisions based on AI responses. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before making any changes to your medication or treatment plan.

Intellectual property

The Ogenta name, logo, and all associated content are the property of Ogenta. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ogenta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data stored locally will be permanently retained.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ogenta and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
